Drupal Makes a Difference - the Nonprofit, Government and Education Track

The Nonprofit, Government and Education track is focused on ways organizations can best leverage Drupal to achieve greater community impact. Strategies in fundraising, community building, organizing and data management are constantly evolving and so are the numerous ways Drupal is being used to achieve success in these areas. We're excited to feature two speakers: Jeff Walpole and Zach Chandler.

CEO and co-founder Jeff Walpole leads strategy and firm development efforts for Phase2. Since 2001, Phase2 has proudly designed and built large-scale content platforms for public sector, publishing, and non-profit institutions including their work on Open Atrium, Open Public and Open Publish. Jeff is highly active in local and national technology groups including the Drupal community and we’re proud to have him speaking on collaboration tools for the nonprofit & public sectors at DrupalCon Denver.

Zach Chandler is a web strategist at Stanford University. Specialities include building scholarly communication, publication and collaboration frameworks; and the Drupal CMS. He holds degrees from the University of New Hampshire (B.A.) and Duke University (A.M.) and has been devoted to the application of technology in the humanities for the past seven years, most recently within the professional crucible that is Stanford University. He has been a member of the Stanford ATS Program since 2006 and is co-founder of the Jasper Group. We’re thrilled to have him speaking on Drupal and the Academy in Denver.

Are you working on a nonprofit, government or education project now that would make a great case study in March? Are you doing innovative work with Drupal and membership management, CRMs, open data or collaboration? There's some great sessions proposed in the Nonprofit, Government and Education track, but we're still looking for more - propose a session!
