Thank you for helping make DrupalCon Denver our most successful conference ever! In the course of five days we rocked 3 amazing Keynotes, 103 Sessions, 14 Pre-Conference Trainings, over 150 BOFs, and blew it out of the water with over 3,100 attendees! (For those keeping track, we beat San Francisco's recorded count - woot!)

Thank you to our many incredible volunteers on the Denver team and the Drupal Association staff for putting in countless hours, and whose time and energy helped make this event possible. You guys rock!

To our wonderful sponsors, thank you for your generous financial support. Your contributions to DrupalCon helped us produce an amazing, affordable, high-quality technical event.

We're excited to announce the $333k profit from DrupalCon Denver will be invested back into the Drupal Community. Yay Drupal servers!

Announcing DrupalCon 2013 in Portland!

The Drupal Association is pleased to announce that DrupalCon North America 2013 will take place in Portland, Oregon, May 20-24, 2013!

Portland has a very active open source community and is home to many open source technology companies, events, associations and people, including Linus Torvalds of Linux fame, the Drupal Association, as well as the nearby Oregon State University Open Source Labs. And of course coffee, beer, bikes, mountains, bridges, roses, salmon and the infamous food carts!

DrupalCon Portland 2013 will bring together people from around the world who use, develop, design, and support the Drupal open source content management platform. DrupalCon Portland will be held at the Oregon Convention Center, conveniently located in downtown Portland.

DrupalCon Munich is around the corner: call for papers and registration open

As announced on stage at DrupalCon Denver, we have just opened the Call for Papers for DrupalCon Munich 2012, as well as Keynotes, call for trainings, scholarships, and registration. The Drupal Association and the Munich DrupalCon committee have been preparing for the next DrupalCon for months now. Things will move into high gear once DrupalCon Denver closes its doors, later this week.

Keynote speakers

DrupalCon Munich announces keynotes by open source and industry visionaries, including Dries Buytaert - the founder of the Drupal project on talking on the future of Drupal, Drupal 8 and mobile speaking on Tuesday, August 21; Anke Domscheit-Berg, highlighting the issue of women’s role in the economy, especially women in management and in IT, speaking on Tuesday, August 22; and Fabien Potencier, CEO Symfony, speaking [About what?] on Wednesday, August 23.

Call for papers

Your contribution is needed! Come to Munich and share your expertise with the most amazing open source community in the world. Submit your session ideas at http://munich2012.drupal.org.

Early Bird registration opens today!

Registration for DrupalCon Munich is now open. The special early-bird rate is 350 EU for the first 250 tickets, after that the price is 400 EU until June 15, and 450. Late registration after August 1 will be 500 EU. The student rate is 200 EU. (all prices inclusive of VAT). Register now at http://munich2012.drupal.org before it is too late!

Call for trainings

The Drupal project needs more contributors, site builders, and developers. We’re looking to cover the gamut from beginner to highly advanced trainings. Trainers and training companies, submit your trainings now! http://munich2012.drupal.org

DrupalCon Trivia Night

Do you think you know EVERYTHING about Drupal?

Well now is your chance to prove it! Pick 3 buddies and bring the team to Drupal's own Trivia Night on Thursday, March 22nd at 9pm, in Room 401 at the Convention Center.

In the grand tradition of pub quizzes, there will be 6 rounds of 10 questions covering everything about Drupal, and a few more about general web topics. Your team will compete with the best of Drupal brains to capture the title of Drupal trivia champions. We'll have a few small prizes to keep things interesting.

Of course, you'll have to know it all in your head - strictly no use of mobile devices or laptops, etc. allowed!

We held the first Drupal quiz in Chicago - to wild acclaim, and followed up with a great night in London! See the video for some of the highlights.

Birds of a Feather (BoF) Scheduler Now Available!

If you're interested in scheduling a Birds of a Feather session for DrupalCon Denver, the online scheduling tool is now live on our website. BoF rooms are open all day from Tuesday, March 20 at 11 a.m. through Friday, March 23 at 5 p.m. BoFs allow ad-hoc groups to meet and discuss issues that may have a more narrow interest than regular conference sessions, or they can be great places for groups of like-minded individuals to to get together for discussions on a variety of topics. For more details, see the BoF information page, and check out the BoF List to see some of the ideas that have been proposed so far!

DrupalCon Entertainment: Mile-High Happy Hour Added

Join Standing Cloud & Zunicore for a Mile-High Happy Hour on Wednesday, March 21 at Earl's Downtown just a few blocks away from the convention center. Starting at 6:00 pm, anyone with a wristband will be treated to food, drinks and mile-high hospitality. How do you get a wristband for this special event?
