Customizing Workbench

The Workbench suite provides easy defaults for the Drupal content management experience. Workbench Access provides section-based content editing restrictions; Workbench Moderation takes your content from a rough draft to polished and published to the world; the base Workbench module ties it all together by giving your people an organized view of their content.

In this session we will:

Demo a fresh install of Workbench

  • Demonstrate what you can do with Workbench out of the box with no customization.
  • Show easy ways to extend Workbench in a matter of minutes.
  • Explore how far Workbench's configuration options can take you.

Demo a highly customized Workbench implementation

  • Examine integration with other modules.
  • Discuss how much customization is too much. Workbench aims for simplicity.

Review the roadmap
Workbench is in active development. There will be new features and an active roadmap between now and March. The session will end with a discussion of features in development and attendee questions.
